Burglary – There have been no report of burglary between 29 April 2026 and 07 May 2026.
Theft of motor vehicle – There has been no reports of Theft of motor vehicle between 29 April 2026 and 07 May 2026.
Theft from a motor vehicle – There has been one report of Theft from a motor vehicle between 29 April 2026 and 07 May 2026.
On 30/04/26, a theft from motor vehicle was committed on Meriden Drive.
Interference with a motor vehicle – There have been no report of Interference with a motor vehicle between 29 April 2026 and 07 May 2026.
Officers from the Smiths wood neighbourhood team are continuing to conduct proactive patrols and take preventative measures to tackle vehicle crime, across all Smiths wood, Kingshurst and Castle Bromwich.
What has been happening? Good news –
1 arrested for a serious assault (Punch and Kick) 1 arrested after a foot chase, for fail to appear and recall to prison. 1 arrested who was wanted for ages for failing to appear. 1 arrested for domestic violence harassment with threats. 1 arrested for rape and controlling behaviour
We have been continuing our patrols around Kingshurst Park on Marston Drive due to ongoing anti-social behaviour in and around Park. The team have started delivering talks in the local schools to year 5 and 6 this week to educate and encourage awareness around ASB and e-scooters. We have also linked in with the local schools and shops to help identify any of the youths involved. Any youths that are identified as being involved in anti-social behaviour will be dealt with robustly.
